Since 1927, Glasshouse Districts Cricket Club has been bringing people together through cricket. Proudly known as the Rangers, we provide opportunities for juniors, seniors, women and men to play, compete and be part of a welcoming club built on community, teamwork and respect.

The Glasshouse Districts Cricket Club, known as the “Rangers”, was originally established in 1927. Operating out of the Glass House Mountains Sports Club in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, the club has deep roots in uniting the local rural community.
Our home ground is located in Glass House Mountains on the traditional lands of the Jinibara and Kabi Kabi people with Mount Tibrogargan forming a stunning backdrop to our grounds. The mountains themselves hold particular significance in story telling and cultural identity.
Key milestones in our Club’s history:
1927
The original Glasshouse Cricket club was founded.
1949
The club merges with neighbouring teams from Beerwah and Landsborough and the Southern Districts Cricket Club is formed, formally bringing together the clubs.
1983–1984
Southern Districts is admitted into the Sunshine Coast A-Grade competition, finishing in last place.
1985/1986
In a stunning “rags to riches” fairytale, the team bounces back to win both the A-Grade minor premiership and the grand final.
1997
Southern Districts Cricket Club officially changes its name to the modern Glasshouse Districts Cricket Club.
Recent Years
The club experiences significant growth, expanding to field senior men’s and women’s teams alongside a thriving junior base.
